Now that you have your PTLevel setup, you’re probably wondering what to do over time in order to maintain the device and it’s readings. There’s really not much to do, but as with everything, a little bit of maintenance goes a long ways.
Once every three months or seasonally we suggest that you pull the tubing and weight out of the tank. Let it drain for a second or two and give it a quick inspection. If you have a clear tube, check to see if there is any water or moisture in it. If there is, please see this article: Low or 0% Readings . Then just simply drop the weight back into the tank.
If you have the Wireless PTLevel, just be sure to press on the “Connect” button on the transmitter to get the latest reading. Calibrate if desired:

Water Level Pressure Sensor; Pressure Chamber
Inaccurate Readings:
If your level isn't reading accurate, there are a few quick steps you can take to help troubleshoot the root cause.
1. The first thing to do is to check your
clear tubing for water, condensation, bubbling, etc. If there is moisture in the air line, that means there could be a leak somewhere! To fix this, make sure to
fully dry out the tubing and reinstall it ensuring an air tight seal at every connection (trim the tubing so it isn't stretched out, use gasket tack or silicone on the outside of the barbs to fill in any tiny spots where air could get by...).
2. Is your transmitter installed in another enclosed space? The PTLevel measures the liquid pressure and compares it with the atmospheric pressure, so if it is installed inside another enclosure (or sealed tank), the readings will likely fluctuate at the same time each day. To fix this, make sure the transmitter can breathe.
3. Check your tank depth. If you've set your tank depth too low (eg 1 foot instead of 10 feet) and then calibrated it, your readings will fluctuate a lot. Simply change the depth and press the transmitter button and then
recalibrate.
4. If you've calibrated your PTLevel with water in the tubing, your level will fluctuate. Follow the guidance in step 1 above to clear the water. The history graph above is a level that has been calibrated with water in the
tubing.
