Can the PTLevel Wired be Installed Outside?

Absolutely. All PTLevel devices are designed specifically to handle the outdoor environment. 

A few tips for outdoor installations:
  1. We recommend that you keep the small tubing that is exposed to the outdoors as short as possible.
  2. Make sure that the Ethernet port is either pointed to the side or down so that water cannot sit inside.
  3. Always try to create a "drip loop" with the Ethernet cable so that water cannot run into the Ethernet connection, instead it runs and drips away from it.
  4. Protect the small tubing from the delivery guy's hose and other outside threats to damaging the tubing.
 We supply the Wired PTLevel with a dielectric silicone inside the Ethernet port so that it minimizes and virtually eliminates any corrosion.

Some specifications of the Wired PTLevel for the outdoors:
  1. -40°C to 100°C temperature range.
  2. IP65 design - Handles water on it but should not be submersed ever.
